…or not…

Well, I was supposed to go dancing last night. However, round about 3PM I started to develop an inexplicable headache. It just got worse and worse. I tried drinking fluids, closing my eyes, rubbing my head, nothing worked. I ate a bunch of painkillers, and still my eyes felt terrible. I don’t know how I managed to drive home. Naturally, we got stuck behind every slow-moving vehicle imaginable just to stop me from getting out of the car for some much-needed rest.

My plan was to get home, eat something and go to bed. Obviously my mother did everything possible to make the meal take as long as possible to prepair so that I’d have to suffer that little bit longer.

Weirdly, an hour after taking the drugs there was still no effect, but within literally minutes of eating some food, my headache almost completely vanished. WTF?

Playing to an audience

As arranged, I spent my Saturday morning with Lynn. (My mother was not happy about this, but hey, I’m entitled to a social life!) When I came to pick her up, she walked out of her house talking to someone on her phone and brandishing a toothbrush. How’s that for random? Apparently her sister phoned while she was trying to brush her teeth. Anyway, I poked my head inside her house while she scampered around getting herself ready. (Speaking of random, she doesn’t have a rocking horse. She has a rocking sheep.)

OK, so I went out dancing on Monday night. I saw Lynn for the first time since Wellingborough. (It seems like an awfully long time ago now… I guess that’s part of the reason I blog all this stuff!) Lynn seemed to think I was a crazy nutcase for being so exuberant on the dancefloor. Interesting; at the time she seemed to like it. Well anyway, she was certainly very friendly that evening. After what happened on Friday, class seemed quite tame by comparison.

Trip to Wellingborough

OK, so enough with the reconnaissance. On Friday night, it was time to dance!

I got home, and there was no sign of mum. I ate a pizza — and still felt hungry. (Those damned cheap pizzas mum buys are so thin it’s like eating an oversized biscuit!) Ate a couple of packages of crisps. Had I shower. Put on the best ventilated outfit I could find. Spiked my hair for additional ventilation. Still, the weather outside looks cold and cloudy, so it shouldn’t be too bad.

I drove out to the petrol station and refuelled by car for seemingly the tenth time this week. Then I refuelled by wallet. Now I need to go pick on Lynn. So I just need to go to the roundabout and take the first exit… uh, no, the first exit is the A5, doofus! >_<
