Quiet

The weather has finally cooled down, so I was able to get more dancing done on Friday. There was still one lone girl wandering around looking lost at the Ballroom & Latin class. We worked further on the Tango we started learning last week; still going well there. The Rock & Roll class was curiosly empty. Unfortunately, by that point I was really too hot to concentrate. I just couldn’t dance any more. I was so hot and tired, despite drinking pints and pints of water.

Rebelious

And so today, for no specific reason, I’ve come to work in my casual style rather than my usual formal shirt and trousers. I’m wearing my Burton denim jeans, my crumpled white shirt with the black pinstripes, and I even spiked my hair. (Although, given that I did all of this in kind of a rush because I was late, the hair didn’t come out so well.) With the heat we’re having, I’ve got the sleeves rolled up and buttoned. And I’m wearing my black Sketchers.

No particular reason. I just wanted to be different.

Peddle power

Yesterday night I visited the organ and its master again. While last time I felt we had a rather undirected session, this time it felt like I actually made some progress with peddle playing. Of course, when all you’re trying to do is play the peddles, it all seems quite easy; how easy it will be when I have other things to think about as well remains to be seen.

Hey, it least it wasn’t quite so damned hot inside the church! (But still not as cool as you’d think.) And after that we went to the pub to drink lemonade with friggin’ big chunks of ice in it…
