My blog currently has 200+ user accounts registered, and hardly a day goes by when I don’t receive more registration notifications. (I can’t actually find a way to turn off the emails, but hey…) Most of these accounts have names like cheapusedcars and so on. Quite what the point of registering them is, I have no idea. I presume it’s scripted.
Anyway, I’m going to go delete all these ghost accounts. If I accidentally delete yours by mistake, just go re-register it. It won’t have been intensional.

OK, I’ve cut it down to 14 users now. That’s all the users who have posted something at some point, plus the ones who had names I can recognise.
If I deleted you and you’re a real person, don’t take it personally, just go add yourself back in.

*experiences moment of existential dread*
No wait I’m still here.
Blogger’s just added an extra section to its Dashboard for comment spam; not that it worked with the one piece I’ve had since it went operational.

I haven’t had any comment spam at all. Just a bazillion zombie accounts signed up, for no identifiable purpose…

And already I’ve had two new dummy accounts signed up.
(How do I know they’re dummies? Well, how many humans would register a user account “John Smith” with an email address “fred.blogs@gmail.com”?)
