The last dance = every dance!

Well, last night was the last Wednesday class until next month. Debbie had the brilliant idea of writing dances or routines on cards, and getting people to pick a card. Whatever card is picked, that’s what we all have to do next.

In a single class, we did the Stroll, Baby Workout, Barndance Jive, Tiger Feet, Lindy Rock, Rockabilly, the Panic Routine with changes of partners, Double Trouble with changes of partners, the Gate, and god only knows what else! I haven’t been this wet in a long time. Now Tiger Feet is my dance, but we only did half the track time, and I had stitches by the end of it. I was so hot and tired by the end of the class, you don’t even wanna know!

All I can say is this: You know it’s serious when Laura is too tired to dance. ;)

Speaking of which, Laura was the first person I saw last night. She was sitting behind the desk, and her sister was eating a pen…?? Oh no, wait, it’s liquorice, that’s OK. She said I was “missed” on Monday, which is impressive. Usually wherever I go, nobody notices or cares whether I’m there or not. Anyway, I simply pointed out to Laura that for me to miss dancing there has to be a good reason. ;)

So I guess that’s it then. Until next month. I’m guessing the Monday class I missed was also the last one. And I think I remember Steve saying this Friday is the last too. And then there will be no more dance lessons! :(

On the other hand, I’ve got Far Cotton, Roade, Wellingborough and of course Twinwood to attend — and that’s just for this month! :D The first three items on this list are of course recurring, so I can look forward to them every single month.

Looks like at least a few of us are going to Roade, I’m not sure about the others. Apparently Wellingborough have a band of some note this month, so maybe it’ll be more lively. I received my Twinwood tickets yesterday, and I know Pam & Clive are definitely going to that for one of the three days (and they’re probably going everything else I’ve listed). And hopefully I’ll drag Lynn along, so I’ll have some nice company if nothing else. (I doubt she’ll join me at Twinwood though.)
